When the Illinois chapter of the March of Dimes charity and online auction site eBay wanted a special vehicle for a fund-raising sweepstakes, Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in suburban Chicago turned to the Mopar parts catalog.

The dealership has a unit dedicated to creating custom vehicles, named JAM (Jeep And Mopar) Werks and a history of supporting local charitable organizations. With a combination of Mopar parts and some custom touches, JAM Werks took a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara and turned it into a unique vehicle with a March of Dimes theme.

The customized Wrangler debuted at this year’s Chicago Auto show and it’s scheduled to be awarded as the sweepstakes prize in early May. (Details on how to support this worthy cause and a chance to win this Wranger are located on the EBay Motors website.)

The black Wrangler Unlimited Sahara arrived from the assembly plant equipped with body-color hard top; remote start system and heated seats. Then the Mopar catalog upped the attitude. Among the parts added are:

  • 2-inch lift kit with Bilstein shocks and a steering stabilizer
  • Front and rear off-road bumpers
  • Rubicon X Power Dome hood with side vents
  • Rock rails
  • Cold air intake
  • Cat-back performance exhaust
  • Steel body corner guards
  • Bumper-mounted Warn winch
  • Katzkin leather seat covers
  • Windshield-mounted driving lights

The Wrangler is accented with the March of Dimes’ signature color purple  on the seat covers, brake calipers, air vent trim rings, shift selector knob, wheels, corner guards and mesh insert in the grille.

While this project was fueled by a charitable cause, the Mopar catalog makes it easy to give any Chrysler Group vehicle an upgraded look and feel – ranging from dress-up items for the interior and exterior to performance upgrades under the hood.

The only limit is your imagination. Where do you want to start?
